Where we are, and how we got here.
We believe that robotics and AI are central to strengthening U.S. manufacturing. As AI reduces the (re)programming bottleneck, the next constraint becomes motion performance: accuracy and speed.
Instead of relying on more expensive hardware, Reforge learns the physics of the robot and its environment and applies model-based control to improve precision and throughput.
The Foundation
The Reforge team has spent a combined 25+ years engineering advanced motion control for applications across 3D printing, oil drilling machines, and robotics.
Our journey began in the basement of the H.H. Dow Building at the University of Michigan, where we researched model-based controllers for 3D printing as Ph.D. students.
Nosa Edoimioya
Co-Founder & CEO
At Stanford, Nosa developed control software for everything from autonomous vehicles to chicken egg incubators for rural farmers in Africa. During his PhD at Michigan, he elevated consumer 3D printers to industrial-grade quality, cutting their costs from $10K to under $1K and applied similar techniques to enhance robot accuracy, which became the impetus to start Reforge Robotics.
Built by engineers and operators focused on making high-performance robotics practical on real factory floors.
